2:00pm-3:00pm on Friday 20 March
Wolfson College, Barton Road, CB3 9BB
A guided talk and discovery tour of the Wolfson College gardens: a series of lawned courtyards forming a set of garden ‘rooms,’ with some stunning herbaceous borders. The beds and borders contain a wide variety of plants and shrubs that provide structure, colour and interest throughout the year.
Several courts reflect a Chinese influence in the design and planting, with many rare small Acers and other Asian trees. The retention of some majestic trees from the original site helps to impart a sense of maturity and permanence to a garden that has developed greatly over the past 30 years.
Gain a special insight into the evolution of the gardens, and learn how our dedicated gardening team keeps sustainability and biodiversity at the forefront of their work.
This event is open to all and free to attend, but please book your place.
Meeting place: Porters’ Lodge
