Tackling the housing crisis by transforming construction

7:30pm-8:00pm on Wednesday 31 March

Times shown are in GMT (UTC +0) up to the 27th March. For events on or after 28th March times are in BST (UTC +1).

Cambridge Centre for Housing & Planning Research (CCHPR) invites you on a journey to learn about how modern technologies and digital approaches are being used to build new homes faster, cheaper and better in a drive to build more high quality, affordable and sustainable homes and tackle the UK housing crisis.

Take part in our quiz and find out how much you know about modern methods of construction. How will they make a difference to social problems including homelessness and housing quality? We want to know what you think!

Then come and join our researchers on a journey to find out more about what’s happening at the cutting edge of construction in the UK. We’ll find out from industry experts how they are tackling the issues that the construction industry faces – running over time and over budget, shortage of labour, and more – through the use of digital innovation. We’ll also find out about the exciting opportunities that these new technologies bring - new jobs, new skills, and high quality, sustainable homes.
