The SunSpaceArt team will be running ‘drop-in’ workshops for children during the family weekend at the Cambridge Festival. The activities will involve making colourful ‘pop-up’ and collage cards about the Sun, Solar System and space. The ideal age range is 5–11 years. SunSpaceArt activities (sunspaceart.org) provide an imaginative way to learn about the Sun, Solar System and space travel, to create inspirational artwork, and also to meet scientists and artists. Dr Helen Mason OBE is a solar scientist at the University of Cambridge. She has worked for many years on NASA and ESA solar space observations. She has worked extensively with school children throughout and leads the SunSpaceArt project, funded by the Science and Technology Facilities Council (STFC).
