Join the Cancer Research UK Cambridge Centre for an inspiring evening screening of Shades of Survival, an award-winning international documentary that shines a light on global inequalities in breast cancer care for Black women.

Set across Africa, the UK and the USA, the film shares the deeply personal stories of Black women with breast cancer, highlighting their courage and advocacy in the face of systemic barriers to care. Featuring powerful interviews, expert insights including contributions from Cambridge researchers, and striking creative performances, Shades of Survival is a compelling call for equity, empathy and change.

Following the film, join a thought-provoking panel discussion with the filmmakers, patients and leading researchers as they explore the lived experience of breast cancer and the global effort to close the gap in outcomes for Black women.

This special Cambridge Festival screening offers a rare opportunity to hear from those driving awareness, research and advocacy for more equitable cancer care around the world.
