This is the culminating (spring) event of the AHRC-funded ‘Seasons of Sanctuary’ project. It will be of interest to gardeners, readers, historians and art lovers. We will be looking at the garden as religious and artistic retreat, refugee sanctuary, a place to recover from illness and trauma, and a place to build ideas of ‘home’. The event is aimed at age 15 and over.

2.30 talks by Bonnie Lander Johnson, Kasia Boddy and Claudia Tobin and then a reading from Sue Stuart Smith with Q and A.

4pm tour of wellbeing garden and talk by Jack Sharp.

4.45 visit The Heong Gallery
