Children and families can try using a block-based programming language to control a robot car. Using the instruction sheets provided, you will start by programming the car to perform basic actions such as moving around and changing speed.
Next, those who’d like to do so can then try a more creative coding challenge. Using what you’ve learned about programming the robot car, try making your car do something more exciting: the more creative, the better! We’ll provide the robot cars, the instructions, the helpers and the floor space; you bring the enthusiasm!
This drop-in, hands-on session is part of a whole day of activities taking place in the Department of Computer Science and Technology.
