Public health and architecture

2:00pm-3:00pm on Tuesday 30 March

Times shown are in GMT (UTC +0) up to the 27th March. For events on or after 28th March times are in BST (UTC +1).

Dr Ronita Bardhan, Dr Minna Sunikka-Blank and Professor Koen Steemers will each talk about how architecture can impact health from three different perspectives: 1) housing and wellbeing (in the context of everyday experiences in the developed world 2) urban development and slums (focusing on slum redevelopment programs and the effects of poorly considered building design in a developing context), 3) the problems and challenges of a largely indoor and sedentary life, and how building design can address this.

After the presentations, there will be a live Q&A with the audience.
