Four psychologist-novelists discuss how their work in Psychology influences their writing. Topics include how a knowledge of psychology influences the issues they explore in their novels, how they use psychology in developing plot and character, how they manage themselves, and how writers consider the psychology of readers when they write. Time will be allowed for questions from the audience, and the event will be followed by a book-signing.

Philippa East is a clinical psychologist. She has published two psychological thrillers, Little White Lies and Safe and Sound.

Paddy Magrane is a psychotherapist and has published three novels, including the Kindle #1 ranked Sam Keddie thrillers and his latest, Red Desert. He is the director of the Lyme Crime Festival.

Unfortunately, Nancy Tucker who was due to take part is unable to attend but we are delighted to announce that Chris Merritt will attend in her place.

Chris Merritt is a Clinical Psychologist. He has published two crime fiction series (the Lockheart & Greene and the Boateng and Jones series). His most recent standalone novel is called The New Home.
