Parchment Craftsmanship: Hands-On Techniques and Writing Exploration

Madison Bennett, current PhD student, will share techniques about the process of parchment making, with opportunities for you to get hands-on by smoothing parchment using pumice stones and having a go at writing on them too!

The live demonstration of parchment preparation will take place between 11am and 12 noon, with the hands-on activities taking place from 12 noon until 2pm.
