Meet Furhat, the conversational robot

11:00am-4:00pm on Saturday 22 March

Times shown are in GMT (UTC +0) up to the 26th March. For events on or after 27th March times are in BST (UTC +1).

Computer Laboratory, William Gates Building 15 JJ Thomson Avenue, CB3 0FD

Come along to the Department of Computer Science and Technology Open Day to meet Furhat, a robot science ambassador, to chat about computer science and your experiences of it.

Furhat is a very advanced social robot: it has many different faces and voices and users can customise it by choosing the ones they like. Commercially available, the Furhat robot is already being used in a number of countries in settings ranging from conferences to children's libraries.

Researchers here are currently working on a project with a Furhat robot. We're very grateful to Furhat Robotics for allowing us to use this robot at our Open Day.
