We’ve come a long way since the first birth control pill was approved. Options for women have expanded to include mini-pills, injectables, coils, and patches. While there has been an expansion of contraceptive options, unmet needs still exist. For example, many women are unhappy with the side effects of hormonal contraceptives and are looking for low-hormone or non-hormonal methods. Similarly, women and their partners are increasingly interested in taking charge of their family planning options by gaining a better understanding of their fertility.
So, how is current research and technology trying to address these needs?
Cambridge Reproduction and the Cambridge University Femtech Society are delighted to present a cross-disciplinary webinar on the latest technologies which aim to revolutionise contraception and family planning. The webinar will feature a panel of researchers from the University of Cambridge and founders of companies focused on women’s health. Our panel will unpick gaps in existing contraception and fertility technologies and present the opportunities for new products and services. The panellists will also discuss the challenges and risks of innovation.
We look forward to having you at the webinar to probe our panellists with some insightful questions!
This event has been organised jointly by Cambridge Reproduction (www.repro.cam.ac.uk) and the Cambridge Femtech Society (https://www.linkedin.com/company/cambridge-femtech-society/).
