2:00pm-3:00pm on Saturday 27 March – Interactive children’s event
6:00pm-7:00pm on Monday 29 March – Talk for adults

Join the Centre for Digital Built Britain to explore what the UK’s buildings, places and spaces could be like in 2040 and how the choices we make today could lead to fairer, greener future for all.

An interactive story sets out four future visions for the built environment and will be available throughout the Festival. Children are also invited to join an interactive session to explore the future of work where digital data and technology is used in new and different ways and share their views about the future world might be like to live and work in.

An evening talk, aimed at adults, will focus on our vision for a digital built Britain and how the Four Futures, One Choice book and the wider work of the centre help to achieve this vision.

Of the four future scenarios presented there are two that are clearly preferable – focused on a sustainable, equal and diverse world within which Britain’s economy, society and environment can thrive. Given the unprecedented opportunity we’ve been presented with, we can’t stand still any longer. We have the choice, let’s make it now.
