Join us for a unique exhibition of artistic creations that showcase some of the world’s burning research questions in novel and creative ways as part of Cambridge Creative Encounters 2021. We challenged our researchers to work with professionals from the creative arts to re-think the way they communicate their research through plays, poetry, photography, animation and short films. What should we do with our electronic waste – the fastest-growing waste streams?
How can nanomaterials help solve some of the world’s most important problems? These and other critical questions that face us as a society today are addressed by a collaborative partnership between our researchers and a group of creative professionals. The research questions and disciplines are as varied as the creative ways in which they are presented – whether exploring ideas of sweetness and gender through image or analysing the relationship between scriptural texts and real-world acts of violence.
The Free exhibition running between 4th-9th April invites audiences to explore, discover and discuss some of the topics represented.
Launch of artistic categories will be followed by a panel discussion on Saturday, 9th April (3:00pm-4:30pm).
Register today for the panel discussion and get a chance to experience and celebrate these diverse range of works, and to meet and ask questions to the researchers and creatives involved in Cambridge Creative Encounters 2021.
