To complement our medical masterclass series, the Department of Pathology in conjunction with the Laboratory Medicine direcrtorate at Cambridge University Hospitals are delighted to present a symposium on the opportunities for scientific careers within NHS pathology services.
This session will showcase the myriad options available for those interested in science to train and pursue a career in scientific pathology. There will be a series of talks looking at the contribution of pathology staff in genomics, histopathology, clinical chemistry, tissue typing, haematology and microbiology. This will highlight the contributions made to patient care and also cutting edge clinical research.
Following the talks, there will be advice on entering healthcare sciences as a career with a live Q&A. The session would be perfect for those studying science at school or college and interested in a career in biological sciences as well as those looking for a change of direction in their current career. The session would also be of interest to school and college careers advisors.
Booking is essential and places are limited to ensure an opportunity for all attendees to be able to ask questions in the Q&A if they wish.
