Dance the “molecules that make us move” inside and out!

Suitable for aged 8+ years.

Children should be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Award-winning dance theatre company Infusion Physical Theatre leads movement exploration on the ‘three systems model’ of emotional regulation. Learn about the body’s threat, drive and soothe systems, and their primary hormones adrenaline, dopamine and oxytocin, all through the creative exploration of dance. During 30-minute dance workshops, participants will be able to explore fight, flight and freeze responses, work–reward cycles, and the connection and caring needs we have, while getting a quick look into the molecular structure and formation of key hormones, and discovering what these processes mean for the brain and body.

(Infusion will be assisted by students from Dancing-Science programmes in Impington Village College, who will share their learning experience. Saturday only.)

Come wearing comfy clothing and soft, non-marking shoes.

Workshops to follow directly after the 10-min performances, booked separately: https://www.festival.cam.ac.uk/events/pop-soothe-dance-performances-and-...
