Crystal Adventures

All day from Friday 26 March until Sunday 4 April

Times shown are in GMT (UTC +0) up to the 27th March. For events on or after 28th March times are in BST (UTC +1).

What is a crystal? Which crystals are hiding in plain sight in our homes? Why isn't old chocolate as good as new chocolate? If you are curious to find the answers to these questions, then get ready for an adventure to discover the wonders of crystals and structural chemistry! What can you expect from these activities? Impressive visualisations, fun hands-on guided activities, tasty examples, and games for all the family. And of course: exploration! You will need to observe the world around you, become detectives and find examples of crystals and molecules in your houses. These activities cover topics like elements, the state of matter and the beauty of crystals, common substances you can find in the house and in the CSD, and polymorphism (if this word sounds scary, don’t worry: we’ll be using lego and chocolate)! Have fun!
