Citizen science for ladybirds and other wildlife: How to get involved!

Times shown are in GMT (UTC +0) up to the 26th March. For events on or after 27th March times are in BST (UTC +1).

Anglia Ruskin University, East Road, CB1 1PT

There are nearly 50 ladybird species in the UK! Dr Peter Brown co-leads the UK Ladybird Survey, a national citizen science programme. More than 10,000 people have contributed data to this project over many years, leading to a much better understanding of the distribution and ecology of these important insects.

Using ladybirds as a case study, Peter will talk about the value of citizen science in ecology and conservation – and how people can get involved. This talk is suitable for any interested adults and older children.
