Faculty of Law, LG17, Sidgwick Site,10 West Road, CB3 9DZ

Join Professor Jagjit S Chadha, from the Faculty of Economics, as he discusses the UK’s economic journey and policy pitfalls from 1990 to 2024.

This talk will be chaired by Rt Hon Charles Clarke, former Home Secretary.

Jagjit will outline how we have not risen well to the challenges of a globalised economy. This failure has contributed to unbalanced and very poor income growth for many. Before coming to Cambridge, Professor Chadha was Director of the National Institute of Economic and Social Research in Westminster (2016–2024), giving him a bird’s eye view of the unfolding crisis.

This event is supported by Cambridge University Press.

And is given in support of the Antony Nolan Stem Cell Register.
