The art of eco-conscious colour

10:00am-2:00pm on Saturday 21 March

Times shown are in GMT (UTC +0) up to the 26th March. For events on or after 27th March times are in BST (UTC +1).

Department of Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology, Philippa Fawcett Drive, CB3 0AS

Artist-in-residence Diana Scarborough explores how art and science can work together to create colour without cost to the planet. Her exhibition brings together prints, sketchbooks, film and an interactive sound installation inspired by natural pigments and bacteria. The work builds on her year-long collaboration with the Department of Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology and its Norwich-based partner Colorifix, a company creating dyes biologically. The pieces celebrate the beauty of colour and pattern within an eco-conscious framework, encouraging reflection on how we design and make the materials we use every day.
