Imagine life in 2100. The effects of climate change have become an inescapable reality. Melting ice caps have led to sea level rise and flooding now poses a global threat. Bridges have become of vital importance, and innovative designs are required to stand up to this hostile world. This is where we need your help. A series of four sessions will test your creativity and engineering judgement as you work to design and build a prototype bridge, right from the comfort of your own homes!

It’s time to put theory into practice! This session will bring bridge design to life using household materials to overcome those physical processes that want the structure to collapse. Common construction techniques will be explored before you tackle your own suspension bridge project.
